Friendly, helpful staff. Period features nice but rooms pretty dated. Worked out at just over 75 quid for two nights which was very respectable.

It is an old building that needs alot of work. The bedding and bathroom nice and clean. Hotel centered right in the heart of Liverpool which was handy to everything. I used the pool, gym and also joined in the yoga classes. Have had one of my most relaxing holidays ever . Afternoon tea for £9.95 where would you get it and so relaxing at that. It is what you make it 😊😊😊😊

Worst hotel I've been to. Grumpy staff, dirty rooms , dust on doors, run down facilities. Got charged £12 a day for parking although it says free parking on google, internet is only free for 20 minutes twice within 24 hrs in rooms.
Water was very hot and when informed the manager they turned it off and now had to shower in ice cold water.
This apparently used to be the best hotel in Liverpool but it's all completely left to itself now.
Great location though.
Will not go back for free.

Once the height of opulence, now a budget hotel. It's a strange mix of magnificent and tatty. If you focus your expectations on the price tag rather than the architecture, it's a good place to stay, and wonderfully placed for the station and the city centre. The architecture (marble panelled corridors included) is a bonus. Undoubtedly preferable to the soulless neatness of most budget hotels.

Lovely Shabby hotel still showing its brilliant from its grand days. This is sad because if they just cleaned it properly and did the repairs it would be elegance and a tourist attraction in itself. My bathroom was fifty. I have made a list of repairs needed and the fifthly bathroom. I took photos and wrote a complaint as well. But I loved the room.
