Great spot for a quick bite in Melbourne’s CBD. Hidden upstairs on the popular food street Centre Place, this bar/restaurant has a great view of the street below without the hustle and bustle.
Service was really friendly and I can see they do get busy on week day lunches.
There is an extensive bar so I imagine evenings can be a fun stop.
Menu was nice spins on lunch classics as well as some nice specials.
I enjoyed my meatball roll.
Well priced and it was a nice mini break between busy shifts at work.
Recommended.

Been coming here for all the many years Hells has been around. It's a pioneer of Centre Lane. Always a great lunchtime feed and a welcoming "Hello". The menu is varied enough to cater for everyone, including the veggies. And a great bar - a beer here always tastes better.

Loved this place it's a little gem. I found out about it through a Melbourne precinct guide book. The owner works on the bar during the day midweek but he can also be spotted on Sunday evenings. Great atmosphere hidden down a narrow lane in Melbourne Sydney CBD. Delicious nibble food & serves the best whiskey sour!! I was here to meet up with an old friend but a great spot for group meets or a date!

Intimate pocket-sized bar overlooking the little shops in Centre Place. Cosy and relaxed.
Variety of beers on tap along with accessible selection of wines and some bar food.
Good for couples or small groups. Tables by the window are great for people-watching.
