Very good, the Chinese five spice rolls (usually to die for) were a little underwhelming...not nearly enough five spice. Good eatery none the less.

My husband had the laksa which was really amazing (he was raving about it) and I had the rice with one small serve each of chx curry, vegetables and beef rendang plus I ordered sambal on the side, my meal was good too. The lady who served us was friendly and nice.

Avoid this place! We booked a table for 10, we were seated in a corner super close to the wall.... it was uncomfortable to start with. There was one waitress holding down the whole restaurant as well as the phone. The waitress wasn't well presented. We were expecting casual dining but never expect that a waitress would be in a track pants and cartoon tshirt. There seemed to be only one cook who was taking all the orders. We ordered around 10 dishes and they were all awful! Presentation for food was terrible. Waitress was plonking them down on the table and running away immediately. My dad and husband got the same dish, chilli seafood which the waitress said would be really hot, it was mild if anything and all you could taste was vinegar!!!! The seafood had lost all its flavour and the main flavour was vinegar. We didn't even know what seafood was in it. My prawn dish had egg shells in it - just unacceptable. Sesame chicken looked disgusting and was really dry. Laksa didn't even have that coconut laksa flavour. Soft shell crabs had ZERO flavour and the satay skewer portions were joke not to mention the satay sauce was just plain bad! Lamb rendang was just odd we didn't even know if it was actually lamb or something else. Something as simple as rice came out so dry and just gross. We couldn't believe how bad this place was considering the good reviews online.
To summarise, terrible setting, it was hot and sticky, it was dark, no lights were turned on above our heads, bad service all round, food is worse than awful and quite frankly, I'm worried we will be getting food poisoning. When confronted about all these issues, the waitress gave a very careless response taking no responsibility whatsoever. We will NEVER step foot in this place again and think everyone should reconsider if they're thinking about going. Yeah it might be cheap but honestly, your money is better spent at maccas. My mum's birthday dinner was ruined 🙁

Without a doubt the best Malay/Indonesian cuisine in Perth. Forget the others that claim to be the best!
I have been eating at Bibik Chans for over 15 years and have lived in Indonesia for 11 years.
Undoubtedly the best Beef Rendang in Perth.
Congratulations Lynne and staff
