Good heat and nice people! I like to go here for after-work relaxing with friends. You can bring your own drinks with you.

This is one of the last public saunas in Helsinki. Its been going strong since 1928. There are separate sauna for male and female customers. You can bring your own towel or hire one for €3. I would suggest bringing your own drinks. On the male side it seems traditional to take a beer.
You can leave your towel in the rack in the shower room. Have a shower before entering the sauna for the first time. On entering you will see the sauna go up in levels. The higher up the hotter it gets. Come and go as you please. Have a cold shower. Stroll outside and sit on the bench and cool off and have a chat.
The sauna is a five minute walk from the Sörnäinen (Sörnäs) Metro station.

This place is an old fashioned public sauna. It is, as other visitors have said, wood-fired. I was here a couple of times. It is very popular with tourists and locals alike. I found the crowd to be very friendly with lots of conversations going on. I definitely would recommend this sauna to anyone who wants to experience an authentic Finnish sauna.
