Not some much interesting for me stuff to see. It was quite small and in 6 years from now will open the other part. Make sure you have headphones guide. I paid 18euros for 4 museums. What i like it was the gate. Amazing and extraordinary architecture.

Pros: Fascinating exhibitions. Loved the Ishtar gate and the street that lead to it from Babylon.
Cons: The size of the museum is way smaller than I've expected. 2 floors that can be easily explored by ~1 hour. Nothing like the Metropolitan museum in NYC. Therefore, I guess that the museum island pass will be a better use for your money if you wish to wander for a couple of hours.
Also the Altar temple section is closed due to renovations until 2019...

I bought a pass for all museums when I visited Atles museum. As such I was able to walk straight in, no wait! This was, by far, my favorite collection on museum hour. The sheer beauty and size of the Ishtar gate left me awestruck for a good five minutes. If you only have time to visit one museum, make it this one!

The best museum I've ever seen. The Gates of Babylon are a sight to behold. Equally massive Roman and Middle Eastern treasures also away painstakingly reconstructed. Be prepared for an awe-inspiring visit. Excellent audio guides are included. No discount for Welcome card.

A solid museum situated on the aptly named museum island. We were lucky enough to come early in low season and as such faced no queues. There is a small entrance fee but with this you get a complementary audio tour which is highly informative and provides enlightening information about the exhibits. The main attraction by far is the gate of Ishtar. It's quite a wonder!
