First we had to pay extra for going abroad, which was not mentioned in the booking process. Then after bringing the car back my clothes smelled of smoke, but the company charged as if I was smoking inside 255€.
After giving a bad review this review was not listed at all. Be careful with this company ... negative reviews being ignored means there are maybe many more negative experiences which were chosen to be ignored.

This is the worst place to rent a car from. Be careful. They will charge you money after your return for nothing at all. I am not the first they are doing this to

did not return full deposit! I bought insurance "full protection" with option of return full deposit, but it does not matter for fox autorent. And they does not help to solve this problem

Fox made a bad situation good. Long story short I had a flat tire late at night on a country road in Slovakia. After much negotiation with roadside assistance I made little progress. NHowever, ultimately I was in touch with the director of operations and he could not have been more helpful .
Mr. András understood my need to get back to Budapest , located the car which had been towed and arranged for repairs. Of course I had to pay for the tow and a new tire but he arranged to have the car returned to Budapest and made no additional charge for the delayed return. This allowed me to continue my travels with a great deal of relief. What could have been a very nasty situation was handled with courtesy and professionalism. Fox and Mr. András really delivered. Btw, the car was brand new and was perfect in every other way!

We have rented cars in many countries, also in Hungary 4 times. This is the only company where we experienced incorrect and mean treatment. Car returned in perfect condition. 2 guys looked and looked for about 10 minutes for not visible damage. They even went under the car to find something. Finally they said that one wheel has 15 cm discoloring on the metal. There was something hardly seeable - picture attached, but this must have been on the wheel at the time of the rental and no car rental company would treat this as a damage. They said they keep 78 Eur back from the deposit, but they doubled this amount. Don't rent from them!
