Went on what was clearly a slow day, just us and a regular in the shop. The proprietor not only makes great okonomiyaki but great conversation, and put up with our questions. Portions are on the larger side. Limited seating available.

Kuro Chan's okonomiyaki, my favorite from osaka! Googled best okonomiyaki and read about this place on cnn so I decided to visit. The man and lady who run the shop are very friendly and inviting! The shop is well off the beaten path, nice little walk through a quiet neighborhood from the station. Got lucky and sat next to 3 older business men who spoke english next to me. Told the chef I'll take whatever he recommends and he prepped me the okonomiyaki with noodles, pork and squid inside. It was extremely delicious! Complemented by a cold beer and funny conversation with the Japanese business men, it was one of the best meals of the trip!
