I no longer go to this practice. My dog Polo had a swelling on his mouth - thought to be an abscess. They not only took out the wrong tooth but left some of it in the dog's mouth. I kept going back to them as the swelling did not go down, they seemed at a loss to know what to do and advised me that sometimes these swellings remain even though the problem has been solved. After a while I took my dog to James at Clifton Vets. He sorted the problem out very quickly - he took the correct tooth out and the tooth fragment The Down's Veterinary Practice had left behind. The swelling went down immediately after the op. I feel very upset that my dog suffered unnecessarily for over 6 months because of the poor diagnosis and care from The Downs Veterinary Practice. I would not recommend this practice.

I could not speak more highly of Damien, his team and Downs Vets. I truly believe they are genuinely concerned about the welfare of animals and do everything to reassure the pet and the owner!
My Max had Lumbar Sacral Surgery. I was constantly kept informed and I have no doubt that he has received the best possible care.
If you are a concerned pet owner...get down to Downs. Your four legged friend deserves the best and here they will receive it.
