South Florida Museum

My husband and I just moved to Bradenton from Ohio and we are in our 20's. We went to this museum and LOVE it! So informative and so cool! Not only do they have awesome exhibits of prehistoric creatures on the first floor but there is endless amounts of information you can read. There is also a great planetarium on the first floor which has very important, impactful short films that give you perspective on life. I think adults should be required to watch such informative videos. (Passport to the Universe is our favorite.) I now attend some of the lunch lectures they have on Wednesdays and plan to attend and Think and Drink evening lecture.

So much fun ! The free museum day we went on this year was absolutely wonderful. More people should visit museums and learn more. Everything is accessible and watching the rehabilitating Manatees get fed is pretty cool.

Went to the museum last month and being my first time ever going to a museum it was really interesting. Then a month later I got to go to a wedding out by the manatees holding tank and let me say it is absolutely beautiful at night. I wouldn't mind having my wedding here. All around great place.

Awesome place to spend a rainy day in Florida or to just get out of the heat. The manatee show/feeding was very informative and fun for kids to get an up close look at the beautiful animals. The planetarium was an awesome place to take a break and learn about outer space. My four year old loved visiting this place!

Very up to date building. Very nice small town museum. Planetarium is state of the art. Well worth the money. My wife, myself and two teenagers spent 5 hours there and could have stayed longer. We all Love Snooty
