Clean, comfortable environment, and a friendly staff. Mike, the piercer, is professional, clean, friendly, and so good it's almost (almost) painless.

I got my first tattoo there yesterday. The place is nice and clean. My Tattoo artist was Kara. She was really great! I would recommend this place.

Just about 3 months ago I got my nose pierced by Mike. He did a wonderful job, and made me feel so comfortable. The piercing has healed nicely and I will definitely go back to get more jewelry. Thank you Mike and 'Til Death!

Prepare for a long review as I do not have enough good to say about this shop!

I went in this past weekend to Til Death to get my second piercing from their epic piercing master (in my opinion) Mike.
I wanted an industrial done, Mike spent ages with me working out what was best for my (normally strange) ear and while sadly I wasn't suited for an industrial, I did end up with my rook pierced and I love it!
The process was fast, nearly painless and while I do have a high pain level, I feel the painless part was due to the skill level of the person who did my ear.
I speak from experience, having had many piercings in my ears over the years, by many different means and from many different places, some done by gun, some done with needles by less skilled people, some in this country and some elsewhere in the world. Not to say I'm covered with piercings, just that I've lost most due to most places using metals that aren't pure and have something my skin can't stand.
Knowing that Til Death uses nothing but the best (Titanium) both my first piercing and my new one are incredibly happy, healing well and will last ages! As a result Til Death is officially the only place I will go from now on! They are just that awesome.
They also charge a very fair price given the material they use for piercings and the time that Mike spends on you.
The place is clean, the staff are all seriously nice as well, no attitudes in this wonderful gem of a tattoo and piercing shop! Everyone there is willing to take extra time to make you feel comfortable, educate you so you know what to expect and just be overall great people!
I hope to get another piercing done sometime soon and also hope to add a tattoo from there as well, both are on my to do list!

So yes, if you are in Portland and looking to get a piercing done, go here! You won't be sorry!
