Beautiful, cosy and interesting museum in Ciudad Vieja, Montevideo. Gurvich came to Montevideo (to Barrio Sur, where many poor jewish immigrant landed) as a child, with his family, escaping religious persecution in their original Lithuania. He was disciple of Torres García and his work shows the influence of the great master of constructivism.
It is worth it to enter and enjoy the original atelier of the artist as well as his work of art. Then one can walk by the Plaza Matriz (original colonial square) and admire the Colonial Cathedral and Cabildo.
