Sykea is a fantastic salon and spa in south end Halifax, with very friendly staff, who are all incredibly skilled and experienced in their field. I recommend it to anyone that needs a haircut or spa treatment.

Valet parking upon arrival started off my visit to Sykea Salon and Spa. I was greeted by a very friendly face at the front desk as I walked into the urban yet charming space. The esthetics room was airy and open with high, victorian style, cathedral ceilings and stainglass windows! I found the staff to be professional, exerienced and friendly. The added benefit of having the hair salon and spa in one means I can get all of my services done in one place! Amazing, Thank You again and I will definitly be back soon.

This is certainly the very worst salon I have ever worked with. I made an appointment for myself and my bridesmaids and my mom for the day of my wedding more than 1 year in advance. Not only did they lose my appointment initially (thank goodness I called 6 months prior to confirm), but then they ended up sending me a very brief email 3 weeks prior to my wedding date saying they could no longer accomodate my group. Rude, rude, rude. Further, they only emailed me after I had sent them an email with updated contact information.
The staff is friendly, but very incompetent and they do an awful job of communciation. If you are counting on your salon service, I would definitely book elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!
