My husband and I are regulars of Ruth Chris restaurants for several years. We go to the downtown and Mississauga locations. We love their food they are very consistent. The interior is very nice and comfortable. All of the waiters are very friendly and have a lot of knowledge about their menu. Unlike Hy's who only hire cute girls who don't know anything about food or their menu. Today we had Kimberly she is the blonde lady with the round glasses. We had her as our waitress many times in the past years and she has been always very pleasant. I read a review of a lady saying that she was rude to her because she is a black female with a white boyfriend. I am a black female with a white husband and she never looked at us weird or was rude to us. Anywho i highly recommend this place.

I love steak and me and my boyfriend always go to steak houses but we wanted to try a new place so we went ruth's chris steakhouse downtown recently and I felt very judged. I'm young and black and my boyfriend is older and white and my waiter looked at us very funny . I complimented her harry potter glasses she was wearing because I liked them and she just looked at me rudely and was like umm okay thanks .. she wasn't a very welcoming person and kind of rude . As for the food I thought it was stupid its a steak house and it only serves cold seafood cold lobster is gross and when I asked for a pound hot crab legs apparently she had to ask the manager to change the menu for me it was $80 so I was expecting a good portion but what I got were about 7 skinny tiny crab legs with barley any meat. Highly disappointed . Got our steak mine was cooked perfect but my boyfriends was over cooked and the taste was not very good at all leave a bad after taste in your mouth. Although the waiter did say the only seasoning they use on the steak is salt and pepper and of your a foodie like me that's not what I would consider a good steak. Overall nice place but definitely wouldn't go back If your looking for a good steak I would say the keg is way better or Harbour 60 steak house .

The food is hit or miss, but I do like the blue crab cakes a lot! Unfortunately it is a very douchey atmosphere with a bunch of 20k millionaires who don't know how to handle their alcohol. Steak is comparable to The Keg

I treated myself to a birthday dinner at Ruth's Chris. Had not been there for about 6years or so. Service was phenominal but the Filet Minon was below places like chop Steakhouse with a hefty 20 % higher charge. Creamed spinach was excellent but baked potatoe was luke warm. Also most of the diners were dressed in jeans, sneakers and baseball caps which turned the atmosphere into a cheap diner. Spending more than $120 for one and sitting with disrespecting people is awful. Nowhere in Europe would anybody dressed like that get through the front door of a good establishment

stopped in on a whim while craving steak down town.
on a Friday night with no reservations the staff were more then accommodating, while most other chain restaurants turned us away or gave us 2 hour wait times. The front of house were very quickly willing to provide my wife and i with a comfortable spot at the bar where we not only received full service but the bar tender and our waitress was very friendly and helpful.
The food was out standing, cooked and served to perfection!
We decided to get a cheese cake for desert which was indescribably good. Our bill was just over $300 before tip for the two of us, it was worth every penny as we left more then satisfied!
