Tourism This lovely city is perfect for a city break, business trip or romantic getaway in the sun. There are so many exciting things to do and getting here is easy.
With so many cheap flights and special deals on hotels you'll have no problem getting here. If you don't like flying train travel in Spain is very good and so are ferries to Spain.
This buzzing city has a magical Old Quarter with an exciting town center.
There's also a very trendy area called Barrio del Carmen where some of the best nightlife is.
Sights The best place to start sightseeing from is Plaza del Ayuntamiento which is in the centre of the city next to Estaciòn del Norte which is the main train station in the city. It's also next to the bullring which is often used for huge concerts.
Just a five minute walk brings you to the Historical Quarter of Valencia (Seu-Xerea barrio - Cathedral neighbourhood) which is where the Cathedral of Valencia is located and definitely not to be missed.
Valencia is full of upmarket shops, bars and restaurants. There are also many spectacular festivals throughout the year such as La Tomatina and Las Fallas.
Climate Another sunny day! That's what both visitor and resident can look forward to in Valencia. Located in a fertile basin between rocky hills and the Mediterranean, Valencia boasts an average annual temperature of 18°C. Proof of Valencia's enviably pleasant climate can be seen in its agriculture.
Shopping Valencia offers a bounty of shopping opportunities, from modern high-street fashion to vintage antique ware to classic tourist souvenirs. The main shopping street in Valencia is Calle Colón and its alleyways that branch off into smaller boutiques and high-end fashion houses. For the hippest fashion in town, check out Calle Poeta Querol for a myriad of designer stores. Those looking for antique souvenirs might find interesting curios such as bullfighting posters and vintage postcards around Plaza Merced.

Valencia (spanisch []; valencianisch/katalanisch València [], deutsch veraltet: Valentz) ist eine Großstadt im östlichen Teil Spaniens. Die Hauptstadt der autonomen Valencianischen Gemeinschaft und der Provinz Valencia liegt rund 320 km südöstlich der Landeshauptstadt Madrid an der Mündung des Turia zum Mittelmeer und ist mit 809. 267 (INE 2010) Einwohnern die drittgrößte Stadt des Landes. Im Großraum Valencia leben rund 1, 8 Millionen Menschen.
